Welcome Just Getting Started where you don’t need the whole plan; you need the next step.
Sometimes life leaves us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, tired, uncertain—or simply unsure what comes next.
Sometimes we aren’t starting over, we are just getting started.
But I believe there is almost always one thing we can do.
One conversation
One question
One ask
One try
One habit
One thought
One email
One paragraph
One connection
One small, brave step
That’s the heart of my newest company: Just Getting Started.
No matter your age or stage, there is still possibility. You don’t have to know exactly where you’re going. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You simply need to discover what your next step might be—and begin there.

One-on-One Coaching
Just Getting Started coaching is a collaborative, highly personalized space to help you move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed toward greater clarity, confidence, hope, and action.
We begin with your story.
Together, we’ll get curious about what you want, what matters to you, what you’re struggling with, and what might be getting in the way. We might explore your dreams, stressors, worries, habits, relationships, mindset, fears, patterns, or possibilities.
Then we ask the question I return to again and again:
What’s the next step?
Maybe you’re just getting started on a business, a book, your education, a new career, a relationship, a difficult conversation, a healthier habit—or simply a new chapter of your life.
You don’t need someone to hand you a formula. I believe you already carry tremendous wisdom about your own life. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective and practical tools, and help you reconnect with yourself so that the answers and next steps feel like yours.

Why Work with Me?
For more than 24 years, I’ve been teaching, speaking, writing, coaching, encouraging, and walking alongside people as they learn, grow, lead, and navigate change.
My work draws from years of study and experience in personal growth, leadership, entrepreneurship, positive psychology, growth mindset, self-awareness, and approaches that support emotional regulation and a deeper understanding of our internal patterns.
But I don’t coach from a place of having everything figured out.
I am a work in progress too.
After moving through an especially intense season of grief, uncertainty, overwhelm, confidence struggles, relationship challenges, and questions about my own future, I’ve become even more convinced of something I have believed for years:
We don’t need the whole map to move forward.
Sometimes we simply need a safe place to tell the truth, feel heard, get curious, see something differently—and find the one small thing we can do next.
I read. I research. I learn. But most importantly, I live what I coach.
As I continue to learn, grow, stumble, begin again, and discover what helps, I bring that honesty and lived experience into my work with others.
Just Getting Started was the company I needed when I was learning than my becoming wasn’t over.

Maybe This Is Your Time to Begin…
You don’t have to be completely ready.
You don’t have to feel fearless.
You don’t have to know how the story ends.
You just need somewhere to start.
If you’re curious about coaching, I invite you to book a complimentary connection call. We’ll talk about what’s happening in your life, where you may be feeling stuck, what you’re hoping for, and whether working together feels like the right next step.
What’s one thing you can do today?
Maybe it’s simply reaching out.
Just get started.
Commonly Asked Questions:
Is coaching right for me?
I don’t know for sure. What I do know is that coaching, is a way to feel accepted and validated for who you are, as well as supported as you choose to grow and take steps towards what you really want next.
I’ve had many coaches and mentors along my journey who have offered me tremendous care and concern, insights and ideas, and all different kinds of support. I always felt more confident knowing I had someone who believed in me and who was there for me should I have any concerns or questions along the way. We are not meant to do life alone and a coach is a great way to live out the truth, “stronger and better together”.
Now, with so much support and growth, I feel I am so privileged and equipped to help others!
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, or mental health treatment.
What would a session be like?
Before we have a session, we can set up a 15-minute inquiry call. I’d love to hear what you are looking for and I’d love to get to know you a little bit first as you get to know me. I’d then send you a self-assessment to know our starting point. This is a simple inquiry into your habits and lifestyle. Then, we can set up a session. Each session is different because sessions are customized around what you need most. Our time together could be online or in person. Our session will likely include me asking a lot of questions and listening to your answers. Usually, sessions are about discovering your story, your interests and passions, as well as your struggles and concerns, and what you really, really, really want for yourself.
I am the type of person who is naturally curious, empathetic, interested, and deeply caring. Each session should help you feel heard and validated, excited and motivated, and equipped with some ideas or tools to get working on your priorities, plans, and goals. As a creative person, I use a lot of visuals, as needed, such as charts, mind maps, and timelines. I also provide follow up notes that highlight what we explored together and the action steps you can take to move forward.
What are your qualifications?
I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Psychology at Simon Fraser University before I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University. Since then, I have done extensive research on: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. I have also earned credentials for Life Coaching and in Positive Psychology. What can I say, I am an eternal learner, and I love that about myself!
Yet I think it’s also important to know I am dedicated to personal growth and development. I am an avid researcher, reader, and reflector of my own trauma, life experiences, struggles, pain points, and growth. I am deeply engaged in and committed to my own therapy work and healing, and, let’s just say, I have a lot of personal experience as well as 25 years of experiences working with clients. I have journeyed alongside people struggling with confidence and self-esteem, stress and anxiety, mental health concerns, burnout, identity confusion, limiting beliefs and negative thinking patterns, and those who feel lost, lonely, and without purpose. I am interested in meeting people where they are at to help them move forward.
Of course, I cannot guarantee results or specific outcomes; but I can guarantee that I will provide you with support, I will be professional, and I will offer you my best tools, ideas, and perspective.
